Metal Art Sculptures From Thailand
Scrap metal art sculptures are fast becoming one of the most sought after, collectible metal art forms available today. Invented in Thailand by Thai artists only a few short years ago, they're now heavily in demand for theme bars, casinos, hotels, corporate offices and even for those of us with homes large enough to accommodate them.
They range in size from around eighteen inches, rising as high as seven or eight feet tall, like the Preditor you see to your left.
'Creating'
an eight foot, 400kg scrap metal art sculpture, or monster as we like to call them, is without doubt an incredibly daunting task. It can in fact take two highly experienced artists working ten hours per day, anywhere up to 1 month to complete, and involve several thousand individual components.
This is why no two sculptures are ever exactly the same. And I seriously doubt this metal art form could be accomplished anywhere other than Thailand.
Because of the sheer magnitude of man hours and materials involved, building these awesome art sculptures anywhere other than Thailand, would certainly create a price tag in the tens of thousands of dollars.
Some of the more popular metal sculptures available include, Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator and Predator below.

The Alien to your right, whom I'm sure you will agree, if you can take your eyes of the girls, is terrifyingly realistic.
And most recently, Megatron, the Decepticon leader, and of course Bumble Bee the lovable yellow Chevy Camaro from the Transformer Movies.

We were even commissioned by one of the local bars to create an eight foot Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
And I'm sure even Johny Depp would agree the likeness is uncanny.
